Refunds & Cancellations

Last updated 23 August 2026 · Rakhi Roast · Operated from India

Your gift is written for one specific person, the moment you ask for it. Once it exists we cannot un-make it or resell it, so a delivered roast is non-refundable — but if we failed you, you get your money back.

1. Completed orders are non-refundable

No refunds once your gift has been generated and unlocked. Every roast is custom-made on demand: we spend real compute writing your script, voicing it, composing an original song and painting the artwork before you ever see it. It cannot be returned, restocked or sold to anyone else.

This is why our promise is about delivery, not taste. Paying starts the work, and if we cannot deliver the gift you paid for, you get another attempt at it free — there is a regenerate button on the gift page itself, and it costs you nothing. What we cannot do is un-make a gift that was made correctly because it did not land the way you hoped.

In particular, we cannot refund because you changed your mind after unlocking, because your sibling did not find it as funny as you did, because you meant to enter different facts, or because you would prefer a different voice or song style than the one you selected.

2. When we do refund you, in full

These are not favours. If any of these happen, you are entitled to your money back.

  • You were charged and got nothing. Payment succeeded but the gift never unlocked or the page never loaded.
  • You were charged twice for the same gift, or charged an amount other than ₹151.
  • The gift is materially broken. The roast audio is silent, truncated, unintelligible, or in a language you did not choose.
  • The safety screen should have caught it. The generated content targets appearance, caste, religion, region, disability, gender identity or sexuality, or is sexual or genuinely cruel rather than affectionate.
  • We took the gift down after a removal request from the person who was roasted, before you had a reasonable chance to use it.

A missing or failed song on its own is not a refund case, because the roast audio and artwork are the main gift and you can retry the song for free from your gift page as many times as you need. If the retry keeps failing and you bought the gift mainly for the song, write to us and we will make it right.

3. Cancellations

You can abandon the form at any point before paying and nothing is charged. There is no subscription, nothing recurring, and nothing to cancel later.

Paying is what starts the generation, and it begins within seconds — so once you have paid there is no cancellation window. Your money is already being spent on the AI models that write, voice and score your gift. If that process fails, you are not left with nothing: the gift page gives you a regenerate button.

4. How to raise a refund

Email rakhiroast@gmail.com within 7 days of the payment with your gift link and the Razorpay payment reference, and tell us what went wrong. You do not need to be polite about it.

We will acknowledge within 48 hours and decide within 7 working days. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method through Razorpay, and typically appear within 5–7 working days after we approve them, depending on your bank. We refund the full ₹151; we do not deduct a processing fee from it.

5. Chargebacks

If something went wrong, please email us first — we would rather fix it than fight your bank. Raising a chargeback without contacting us usually takes longer for you and costs us more.

6. Your statutory rights

Nothing on this page removes any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. If a service was not delivered, or was materially different from what was described, you are entitled to a remedy regardless of what this policy says.

Unresolved complaints can go to our Grievance Officer, Saharsh Pamecha, at letroast@gmail.com. See also our Terms of Service.
